Beginning Classes
Class Descriptions
Golden Summer website (14)_edited.png

Classes are offered in beginning to advanced levels for ages 3-18. We take both age and level into consideration when placing dancers in classes. Care is taken to ensure that all dancers apply their technique and training before moving to the next level.  It is typical for dancers repeat each level more than once.  Dancers are evaluated for class placement in their current class, a trial class or sometimes a private evaluation.

All classes begin with a warmup and stretch to prepare the body for dance, and end with learning a dance or combination.

Dances and combinations will change each month in order to challenge dancers. This also allows new dancers to join monthly,

until we begin preparation in January for our annual end of the year performance.

BALLET

Ballet is a beautiful and technical form of dance that teaches movement, form, technique and artistry. Our dancers are trained in the RAD method. Careful attention is paid at each level to be sure that dancers receive a strong foundation in the principles of ballet. We strive to keep our classes engaging and stimulating for our dancers. Care is taken to ensure that all dancers apply their technique and training before moving to the next level.  View dress code
